Funnel and Conversion Reports

Mtracking is pleased to annouce two new reports available within the Customer Portal.

Funnels

Funnels allow you to define a route through your site where you would like to see the effectiveness of your promotions at each stage of visitors' journeys. Specifically they should focus on a route through your site which is regarded by the business as being the route taken through a site to lead to a conversion.

Perhaps you could use the Funnels report to examine where your visitors are abandoning your newsletter sign-up process, or maybe you'd like to see how many of your visitors are finding their way from your homepage to your product info page and then go on to submit a request for information form? If so, create a funnel and run the report and see which promotions are providing you with the most visitors engaging in your sites contents.

Conversions

The conversion report ranks your promotions by their success rate in terms of prompting a web visitor to complete a desired action on your website. Such promotions would include 3rd party, banner, email, search engine and referral promotions. This enables decisions to be made on whether certain promotions should continue to be pursued and which should be stopped or amended.

Unlike the Funnels report, the Conversion report shows all visitors that visited the page you specify as indicating a successful conversion. To give an indication of how you could use the report, such pages might be checkout-sucess.html, signup-success.html or registration-confirmed.html.

Both Funnels and Conversions are created in the admin section of the Mtracking Customer Portal. For more information or help in setting up the new reports please e-mail support@mtracking.com, or call 0207 017 2325.

Dynamic and In-Page Tracking

We are pleased to announce two new developments that further improve Mtracking:

Dynamic page views can now be re-written to appear as a static page review in your reports. This offers a new level of segmentation, allowing you to see more accurately the content that visitors to your website are viewing.

In-page tracking allows you to track clicks on your website that do not result in a new page being loaded. For example, you may like to use this to track how visitors are using flash objects on your site.

For details on how to use the above features please contact support for further details, or see the recently expanded Support section. Included here now are downloadable guides on how to make the most of Mtracking.
